Introducing Grains Synth Sample Pack

Granular Synthesis Samples For Nord Keyboards

We’re excited to announce Grains, a special collection of 20 patches built for Nord keyboards. Granular synthesis isn’t possible on a nord product yet, so we decided to make a library of expressive samples using granular synthesis techniques, and the results are unlike any other sample pack on the market.

Granular synthesis works by playing back tiny bits of audio in unusual way (for the nerds out there, you can read more here). It took over a month of messing with various sample sources to get something useful and interesting, and the final results are otherworldly. Everything from simple vox pads to chopped up old horror film sound tracks make this library range from sublime to chaotic.

Blends seamlessly with the patches you already have.

The Grains Synth Sample Pack runs great as a standalone pack (meaning you can load it in any compatible Nord and instantly access the sounds), but it’s easy to add to any patches. Simply turn the sample select knob on your keyboard, and you instantly can blend a whole new sonic palette into your rig.

Compatible with the newest Nord keyboards.

All samples are mapped using Nord’s next-gen proprietary NSMP4 sample technology, which makes them compatible with their modern line of keyboards. Here’s the current compatibility list:
