Introducing Grains Pack For MainStage 3

Granular Synthesis Pads, Plucks, and more.

We’re excited to announce Grains, a special collection of 20 patches built for MainStage 3. Granular synthesis works by playing back tiny bits of audio in unusual way (for the nerds out there, you can read more here).

How We Built it

Since granular synthesis can be unpredictable at best, it took longer than usual to create this pack. We experimented with hundreds of sound sources before finding the ones that works the best.

It took over a month of messing with various sample sources to get something useful and interesting, and the final results are otherworldly. Everything from simple vox pads to chopped up old horror film sound tracks make this library range from sublime to chaotic.

100% Compatible with Logic X

Not only are these patches perfect for live performance, but they have huge potential for film and game scoring. We made a decision early on that it was important to ensure compatibility with Logic X, and all patches should translate seamlessly no matter what platform you use.
