Granular Synthesis Samples For Nord Keyboards

We’re excited to announce Grains, a special collection of 20 patches built from hours of messing with granular synthesis engines. Granular synthesis isn’t possible on a nord product yet, so we decided to make a library of expressive samples using granular synthesis techniques, and the results are unlike any other sample pack on the market.

Granular synthesis works by playing back tiny bits of audio in unusual way (for the nerds out there, you can read more here). It took over a month of messing with various sample sources to get something useful and interesting, and the final results are otherworldly. Everything from simple vox pads to chopped up old horror film sound tracks make this library range from sublime to chaotic.

60 Total Sounds.

Building off of the 20 core samples, I’ve designed a range of synth presets and programs to use, bringing the total file count in this pack to 20 items. Categorized synth presets allow you to quickly bring the sounds from this pack into any program with the twist of a knob, and the program files offer a complete patch for playing live. The core samples allow you to use the tones included to create your own custom patches, adding a whole new sonic palette to your keyboard.

Perfect for use with the NS3 Worship Collection. Or any collection.

The Grains Synth Pack runs great as a standalone pack (meaning you can load it in any Nord Stage 3 and instantly access the sounds), but it works great as an expansion pack for the Worship Collection, too.
